Building Industry Association of Southern California, Inc. (BIASC) Chief Executive Officer, Mike Balsamo, will be on a panel April 26th at the Investor’s Breakfast, which will be hosted by Taller San Jose Hope Builders in Anaheim. Balsamo will be accompanied by fellow panelists Najla DeBow System Manager of Talent Acquisition, St. Joseph Health and Dr. Linda Rose President, Santa Ana College to discuss Hope Builders’ ambitious plan to address Orange County’s workforce needs.
Opening and closing remarks by Shawna Smith, the Executive Director of Hope Builders, will be made during the discussion.
Within ten years Hope Builders will serve more than 4,700 youth—equipping them with marketable skills and helping them secure employment. Furthermore, Hope Builders will ensure that at least 2,600 of these youth advance into quality jobs—the kind that offer them a firm foundation on which to build their families.
The breakfast serves as another opportunity for experts in the building industry, education, and the hiring process to come together to tackle the lack of skilled labor that is needed to supplement needs in the workforce.
