DEL MAR, Calif. (May 12, 2017) – National award winning design firm Design Line Interiors has named Carrie Cook as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Cook’s 15 years of experience in the building industry include positions with a multinational tile manufacturer and a design center that served production home builders. 

“Our firm has worked with Carrie throughout her career in the industry, and we’ve witnessed her collaborative skills in dealing with builders, architects, designers and planners,” said Design Line Chairman and CEO Dawn Davidson. “Her responsibilities at Design Line will support our front-line team and allow us to focus on what we do best: design.”

Design Line is a familiar national brand in the home building and hospitality industries. The firm’s creative talents have led to multiple international assignments including China and the Middle East. Since 1985, the firm has worked with the most esteemed builders and developers in the nation, who rely on Design Line to understand the marketplace and tailor design strategies to produce targeted results.

DEL MAR, Calif. (August 25, 2016) – Long time design professional Ericka Moody has been named president of Design Line Interiors by the firm’s founder, Dawn Davidson, who will ascend to the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Moody is entering her 19th year at Design Line, where she has helped manage the successful installation of over 800 projects for national and international builders. Countless model home interiors installed under her leadership have earned national acclaim for Design Line and its builder clients, including the most recent Gold Nugget award for North America’s Project of the Year, The Oaks Farms in San Juan Capistrano.

Moody takes the helm at Design Line as the firm continues to work with some of the nation’s most esteemed builders and developers.

“Ericka sets a high bar in the design industry for creativity, professionalism and integrity,” said Davidson. “Over nearly two decades at Design Line, she has grown to take the lead on some of our most complex and challenging projects. She is ready to lead the firm and nurture the next generation of designers and creatives.”

Moody, an alum of the design program at California Polytechnic State University, has risen through the ranks at Design Line since joining the firm in 1998, most recently serving as Director of Design.

“Ericka’s many years of managing operations and production schedules provides the foundation to direct all elements of the design process, including field work, construction walk-throughs, project visioning and programming, and accounting and purchasing,” added Davidson. “This promotion is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication.” 

In assuming the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Davidson says she is looking forward to staying involved in the creative process and mentoring the Design Line team while lessening her day-to-day business responsibilities.

Davidson founded Design Line Interiors in 1985 after graduating with a degree in interior design and architecture from Woodbury University. She has earned tremendous recognition for her professionalism and creative achievement including a place in the California Homebuilding Foundation’s Hall of Fame (2011) and the San Diego Building Industry Hall of Fame (2007). The San Diego Building Industry Association has honored her with several prestigious awards, including the Building Professional of the Year and Design Professional of the Year. She has also co-chaired the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference in both 2013 and 2015, which draws attendees from all over the world.
